This post makes up for things i was supposed to post on Wednesday but didn't.
Had to go to KL today. supossed to send sister to a Mogwai concert (That's a post rock band). got a free Junk mag from a stall. the line was massive, and most of the concert goers were Malays wearing hip clothes with awesome hair. This says something - Chinese people have no taste in Music. Anyway, our Rangers commanders, Cmdr Darren, Cmdr Nathaniel and Cmdr Jefferey, along with my sis's friends Julian and Bernard (for some reasom people in Chem call this one 'Bob') came along to join her. This is so unfair. I had to follow my MOM around Suria KLCC for a gruesome 4 hours doing nothing. But i went to Kinokuniya, the bookstore. Muahaha. Deeelicious bookies there. ALL THE BOOKS ARE MINE! MINE!
Anyway, spent most of my time reading the comic books - they boast a wicked comic section. i was basically browsing through the Umbrella Academy - this one was written by Gee, and then browsed through Persepolis - i even have the movie adaption. And then there was this one that caught my attention - Daredevil - by Frank Miller. I mean, FRANK MILLER? the dude that gave me hell with The Spirit? I was like, wtf? my day was officially ruined. I mean, i know he did Sin City and all, but Daredevil was like, one of my faves and IT JUST HAD TO BE HIM?!?!?!
OK, think what you wanna think. I'm a geek - for I'm a girl who reads comic books, stuff like The Umbrella Academy (which is pure awesomeness mixed into a big A bomb of vocabulary), The Walking Dead, Doc Frankenstein and so on. I am also a girl who listens to screamo, and enjoy my ass out watching Movies like Underworld, Resident Evil and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I love it. Pure love it. MUahaha!
Anyway, when the time finally came to pick the sister up she came and told us they were going for supper.

sat around and waited for nothing!
so we went home. and i had to wait till 1 something for the freaing girl to come back and open the door for her.
convenient.
she told us mogwai was a blast, i should've went, bla bla bla. let us listen to some CDs the BIg C lent her - quite cool, some of the songs were smashing, others just plain weird.
First track was Anti Folk.

Oh yeah watched Underworld on Thursday. I loved the beheading. Didn't dig Rhona's role though - she died too early. sigh. AAHHH I LOVED BILL NIGHY IN THAT MOVIE! IN EVERY MOVIE HE WAS IN! I mean, there isn't only Underworld 1, 2 and 3 to his resume, but he was in Shaun of the Dead, that zombie flick, AND GUESS WHAT? he was Davey Freaking Jones in POTC! I was like, NO SHIT! yeah seriously, no shizz here. and also, he was Samwise Gamgee (Frodo's loyal friend) in the 1981 BBC radio dramatization of LOTR. He was also the freaky alien - Slartibartfast in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. AND GUESS WHAT? The man is going to play Rufus Scrimgeour (M.O.M) in the Harry Potter and the HBP!
Anyway.
Watched Slumdog Millionaire, Milk and Frost/Nixon and Rock N Rolla recently. I loved all of them. Slumdog especially. Blew me away. Coming second would probably be Rock N Rolla or Frost/Nixon. Did you know Michael Sheen (David Frost of Frost/Nixon) is actually also Lucian from Underworld: Rise of the Lycans?? I wonder why. really wonder why.
